History Of Reiki Seichem

Patrick Zeigler is credited with bringing the Seichem energies to the west from his travels (1979) to other countries. Upon his second return to the states (1983-84), he began sharing this system with others.

From what I have read, Patrick was a caring individual who encouraged those exposed to his system to grow, expand, and let the energy evolve. He did not trademark his system and it did indeed expand. It spread throughout the world like seeds on the wind.

There is now much confusion about this healing system. Healers are using many different names for the system such as Seichem, Sekhem, SKHM, and SSR. You are also seeing 7 Facets Seichim, Taokan Seichim, New Life Seichim, Isis Seichim, and the list goes on. All of these healers were more than likely guided by an inner knowing to devise their own unique systems.

I mention this short history because those who visit my website ask questions and it may help with some of the confusion for them to know that Patrick was indeed the founder. That is where it all began, there will never be an ending. We, as healers, will continue to grow, expand, and channel even stronger energy one day.

**As an update to this writing, we were contacted 1/29/05 by Patrick's partner, Natalie. They live in New Zealand. Patrick Zeigler travels frequently doing workshops. He now calls his system "SKHM". You can visit his website at: http://www.skhm.org/SKHM/eng/index.html

Ashkee's Story

In 1997, as a healer and Traditional Usui Tibetan Japanese Reiki Master, I began to loose faith in Reiki. An energy that had been my companion for years felt like a stranger. It was a feeling that something was missing, but I had no idea what.

I began my studies of Shamanism and found that I connected with it almost immediately. The Great Circle Of Life, the Medicine Wheel, is divided into four sections; earth, air, fire, and water. To me this only made sense. But why was Reiki only earth energy?

In 1999 I was driven almost with an obsession to study the Seichem Reiki System. I received my Master/Teacher attunements and initiations from Warwick and Leonie Harding. They are in Australia. It is difficult to explain how I felt during the attunements….but I knew I was on the path of finding what was missing. The experience was beautiful. I left with two things; 1) a Seichem Master/Teacher certificate and 2) I found what was missing, a complete Reiki system like my Medicine wheel.

I have also trained with Kathleen Milner Kathleen Milner (Tera-Mai Reiki) as well as other Masters to expand and fine-tune my healing art. The diversity in my training has provided me with various techniques, insights, and skills that have been beneficial to me, my students, and my clients. (Tera-Mai is a registered Reiki system.)

What 's The Difference Between Reiki Seichem &
Usui Tibetan Japanese Reiki

Reiki Seichem is an expansion of Conventional Usui Tibetan Japanese Reiki. It works with more healing rays and allows the healer to use a higher frequency of healing energies. Reiki is primarily an earth energy. It grounds all other healing energies. Reiki Seichem uses the earth grounding plus the other rays as follows:

Earth (Reiki) healing energy is experienced as hot and cold (just like the surface of this planet). Reiki grounds all other healing energies.

Fire (Seichem) is clearly distinguished as pulses of low voltage electricity; the healer experiences the sensation of pins and needles-like energy in the palms of the hands and in the fingertips. Healee often feels effervescent energy on in their body as the angels and spirit helpers repair the body. Seichem works to repair the aura as well as the physical body and helps to move through blockages.

Water feels like waves of cool, softer energy. It brings up deep emotional issues for healing and transmutation, or change, often happens quite quickly. Adds emotional qualities and opens intuition.

Air is a two fold energy (air and spirit). It enhances of the power of the third eye and of the spoken word. This energy is good for mental healing. Physical sensations within the body can and will be felt to varying degrees. The presence of angels is often experienced.

New Reiki Systems

Healers are now capable of receiving higher frequencies of healing. As humanity grows in consciousness it is only logical to expect our healing energies to expand. Nothing remains constant or stands still.

Remember, there is only one source (God, Spirit, ect.) and there is only one Reiki (universal life force energy). So I mention once again that Seichem is only a wonderful expansion of the Reiki energy we have used for years. For example, Conventional Reiki is like running Windows 95 on your computer, Seichem is like Windows 2000. They're both based on the same technology, yet one is more efficient, faster, and more reliable.

What System Is Best?

With the various healing systems available today, one can easily become confused. I hope this section on Reiki Seichem eliminated some of the mystery for you. No system is better than any other for there is only one Reiki, and the new systems are only a stronger form of Reiki. All forms of healing are of great benefit to the planet and to you as well. Do like I did and follow your heart, it will lead you to the system that is best for you and your personal growth.

In choosing a healer or a teacher, choose someone who lets you expand and grow. Someone who places no restrictions on your abilities, aspirations, and dreams. Healing is for everyone.
